D'abord, jetez un regard rapide sur le texte : il s'agit d'un extrait d'un journal paraissant en Angleterre (le "SUNDAY MIRROR" du 5 Décembre 1993).
Puis lisez le texte une première fois lentement et attentivement. Lisez ensuite les questions et revenez au texte au fur et à mesure.
Question n°1 : On relève dans cette question "According to the text" qui veut dire "d'après le texte". Autrement dit, il ne s'agit pas de trouver une réponse explicite dans le texte mais une réponse implicite qui montre que le candidat a bien compris le texte. Une compréhension judicieuse du texte permet de trouver la réponse appropriée à cette question.
Question n°2 : Il s'agit de compléter le paragraphe (sur l'évolution du SIDA) en se référant au 2e paragraphe.
Lisez bien (plusieurs fois) ce 2e paragraphe !
Question n°3 : On vous demande de compléter un tableau en puisant les réponses dans les 2e, 3e et 4e paragraphes.
Là aussi, il suffit de lire attentivement ces paragraphes pour se rendre compte que les réponses sont facilement repérables.
Question n°4 :On vous demande d'encercler ("circle") la réponse adéquate (à choisir à partir des 3 possibilités) et de justifier votre choix.
A noter que "physician" veut dire "médecin" et non physicien qui en anglais se dit "physicist"
